REsolutions to Fund Cities

Annual Conference and European Meeting 2014

3 - 4 July 2014
Paris, France

The 2014 Annual Conference and European meeting of REsolutions to fund cities, a four-year international program rooted in regional politics, invites urban actors to rethink the traditional approach to European economics. The meetings will take place in Paris (France) on 3-4 June and will look at how European cities have adapted to the new economic situation, how they are being financed, and conditions for successful replication and transfer of new funding models.

ICLEI Europe’s Managing Director Wolfgang Teubner will address the conference to discuss tools and models for financing the energy transition in Europe. Other speakers include Claire Charbit, Deputy Head of Public Governance and Territorial Development at the OECD and Alain Juppé, Mayor of Bordeaux (France).

The Conference will look at a number of funding solutions, namely: readjusting and putting renewed effort into "traditional" sources of funding; optimising and rethinking resource management and local investments; and rethinking financial and economic innovations on a local scale.
