Transport Research Arena 2022 (TRA) is the largest European research and technology conference on transport and mobility. This year, the conference will take place from 14-17 November 2022 in ICLEI Member Lisbon (Portugal), under the motto “Moving together – reimagining mobility worldwide”, bringing together experts from ICLEI member cities and around the world to discuss the newest innovations and future of mobility and transport.
The Horizon2020 project DREEM will be present at this major event presenting the development of its innovative solutions: an innovative e-scooter, an inflatable helmet, and the study of user behaviour. The project is also organising two events to dive into the latest of micromobility.
DREEM's research paper, “Understanding mobility profiles and e-kickscooter use in three urban case studies in Europe” will be presented in the Strategic Session 1.1 – Mobility for all: fair, inclusive, affordable and accessible in all places, which will take place on 14 November from 15:15 to 16:30 WET. This investigation aimed to understand mobility profiles and e-kickscooter use in three urban case studies in Europe with 398 active participants, where seven distinct mobility profiles were identified.
During 90 minutes on 15 November, Micromobility Flashtalks will take place from 17:00 to 18:30 WET at the Pitch area in Hall 1 a dynamic stage, gathering inspiring speakers who will look into the future to making micromobility more inclusive.
A Cities and micromobility workshop will take place on 16 November from 14:00 to 15:30 WET in Room 3B Hall 1. This co-design session to help six cities tackle the challenges they face every day. Participants will embark on a journey and work together to explore the different issues that ICLEI member cities Tirana (Albania), Antwerp (Belgium), San Giuseppe Vesuviano (Italy) and Kadiköy (Turkey), as well as Leon (Spain) and Brasov (Romania) are facing regarding micromobility, and find solutions to overcome barriers.
