Be part of the transition towards bold biodiversity action: take the Berlin Urban Nature Pact questionnaire

Calling all city representatives committed to driving bold biodiveristy action: respond to an online questionnaire by 30 June to shape the Berlin Urban Nature Pact.

The Berlin Urban Nature Pact is an initiative by a number of cities that builds on, and partners with, the Edinburgh Process in ongoing, comprehensive consultation with cities around the world that are ready to lead the implementation of bold biodiversity action.

Once the consultation process is completed and the Berlin Pact is finalised (in 2023), signatory cities will commit to implement a small set of highly ambitious, SMART targets within the CitiesWithNature Action Platform. This will mark the next milestone after the Edinburgh Declaration and the Montreal Pledge, focussing on the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and renewed Plan of Action on Subnational Governments, Cities and Other Local Authorities for Biodiversity (2021-2030).

ICLEI Europe has opened an online questionnaire designed to provide a low-effort opportunity for cities and other key stakeholders across the globe to help shape the Berlin Pact targets and implementation principles, and make the Pact relevant and applicable worldwide.

Do you represent a city ready to help shape the Berlin Pact to drive implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework? Then we invite you to take part in the online questionnaire. The six questions take an estimated 10-20 minutes to answer.

To get started, have a look at the Berlin Urban Nature Pact draft and then make your way to the online questionnaire. The deadline to submit your feedback is 30 June.
