Procura+ Awards winners to be revealed next week

Only one week to go until the winners of the Procura+ Awards will be revealed at an Awards ceremony scheduled to take place at the Nordic Edge Expo, Stavanger (Norway), 24 September.

During the ceremony, Awards will be handed out in the following categories: Innovation Procurement of the Year, Outstanding Innovation Procurement in ICT, Sustainable Procurement of the Year and Procurement Initiative of the Year.

Competing for the title of ‘Innovation Procurement of the Year’ are: The Municipality of Frederiksberg (Denmark) and ICLEI Member the City of Helsinki (Finland). Contesting the title of ‘Outstanding Innovation Procurement in ICT’ are: CERN and the City of Helsinki. The ‘Sustainable Procurement of the Year’ Award is to be decided between the Government of Catalonia and ICLEI Member the City of Ghent (Belgium). And finally, ICLEI Member the City of Zurich and Ihobe are finalists in the category of ‘Procurement Initiative of the Year’.

The names of the winners and the runners-up will be revealed during the official dinner of the conference.

This year’s entries to the Procura+ Awards were assessed by a jury of procurement experts and policy-makers, composed of Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh, Mayor of ICLEI Member Malmö (Sweden), Procura+ Network Chair; Paulo Magina, Head of Public Procurement Unit, OECD; Marzena Rogalska, Director, DG Grow, and Mark Hidson, Global Director ICLEI's Sustainable Procurement Centre.

The Procura+ Awards is an initiative of ICLEI Europe, with support from the EU-funded Procure2Innovate project.
