UNEP shows 30 ways in 30 days

30 Ways in 30 Days is a new project by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The project began one month before the UN Climate Conventions meeting in Cancun (Mexico) and the UNEP will continue to release one case study a day online into December.

The case studies themselves vary widely ranging from greening the tea industry in countries such as Burundi, Kenya, and Tanzania to creating a loan program for solar projects in India. The studies represent a range of immediately implementable solutions for climate change. The thirteenth instalment in the series, Protecting Gorillas, One Meal at a Time, was released on 16 November.

Each of these case studies illustrates the United Nations Environment Programme’s aim – to show that across the world, in myriad ways, from community-based programmes to entrepreneurial endeavours, solutions are available to help confront the challenges of climate change and to help countries, communities and businesses move towards low-emission climate-resilient growth.
