Registration is now open for the Local Renewables Conference, taking place in Freiburg (Germany) and Basel (Switzerland) from 24 - 26 October 2018.
The programme reflects the importance of putting cities and regions at the centre of making energy more secure, affordable and sustainable, and the growing need to transform from a linear to a circular economy to take full advantage of renewable resources.
Organised by the City of Freiburg, the City of Basel and ICLEI Europe, the 9th edition of the conference series will examine collaboration with local stakeholders, the value of technological innovations and opportunities for financing local action. The conference is a valuable opportunity for policy-makers, representatives from European institutions, energy service providers, experts and other interested professionals to share their views and knowledge on how to manage the transformation to a circular economy.
The conference fee covers admission to the event, participation in all sessions, including workshops and study tours, transport between Freiburg and Basel, conference materials, lunches, coffee breaks and two evening receptions.
Those who register by 1 August 2018 can take advantage of the reduced early-bird fee.
