An upcoming three-week “From Zero to Hero” online training programme will continue promoting hydrogen solutions in light of the postponed World Hydrogen Congress, for which ICLEI Europe is a partner.

Starting on 27 April, the programme will introduce participants to key topics and concepts, such as clean and green hydrogen from renewables, as well as hydrogen-related business models, regulations and infrastructure, all to promote understanding of both the technology and potential business opportunities within the sector.

ICLEI Europe is a partner in this year’s Hydrogen World Congress, taking place in September, to support local authorities in advancing hydrogen as part of the local energy transition. ICLEI will be moderating a session exploring hydrogen roll-out strategies in Italy and the Netherlands, based on its leading role in engaging local authorities in the EVERYWH2ERE project. ICLEI Europe is spearheading the project’s regions and cities interest group, who are working towards the replacement of diesel generators with zero-noise and zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell gensets, used at construction sites, festivals, harbours and other temporary events.
