ISEAL Research Consultancy - The use of sustainability standards in sustainable public procurement

ISEAL Alliance, the global association for sustainability standards, in collaboration with ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, is conducting a series of interviews with a worldwide range of public sector entities. The purpose of these interviews is to undertake field-level research in order to assess the extent and manner in which sustainability standards, including eco-labels, are being used by public sector officials to support sustainable public procurement.
Three-year project lead by ISEAL, with the support of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), with the objective of strengthing the uptake of sustainability standards in public procurement. The objective of the project is to work closely with governments around the world, and specifically in emerging economies, to support and encourage them to increase the scale, scope and effectiveness of their sustainable public procurement efforts through the better use of sustainability standards.
